On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of TSPC Group, we celebrate not only the company but also our colleagues. We are proud that in 10 years TSPC has grown into a group of companies with an outstanding team that can be called a large family. We asked our long-serving colleagues about their favourite memories, professional challenges, and why they love working at TSPC.

Szilvia Könözsi
Director of Department of Architecture, Lead Architect

TSPC employee since 2012

“Our architectural department started with 10 people, and over the years we have become the largest growing branch. Today, several groups within the sector operate effectively and in harmony. I am proud that BIM is a priority area of expertise and that we are in a market-leading position due to the knowledge of our group. My most important design project within the framework of TSPC was the Millenáris Széllkapu Park. Immersed in the audience on the opening ceremony of the park, I felt that I was no longer the designer of a project with daily tasks, but that I had become a visitor to the park.”

Péter Gönye
Architect

TSPC employee since 2012

“Since 2012 we have come a long way, working on increasingly large and complex projects. The fact that we can now work on such large-scale and complex projects as general designers, have brought together some of the specialist designers within the TSPC team. Communication and working within the team have become faster and more efficient. My favorite project is the Bercsényi Sports Complex. The professional challenge with this project was that the sports fields had to meet the Olympic qualification.”

Éva Vezér-Vereb
Coordinator of Department of Architecture

TSPC employee since 2012

“I have always appreciated the trust I’ve received in the company, both from the management and from my colleagues. I really like the community and the team. I left for 5 years to be with my young children, but even during that time I felt that I was still part of the team and that I would be counted on. Now that I’ve decided to go back to work, I’ve been welcomed with open arms and have been very flexible with my changed working circumstances. I am very confident that after a 5-year break, I will be able to re-establish positive relationships with my colleagues and become an integral part of the team again.”

Gergely Horváth
Chief Integrated Management Systems Specialist

TSPC employee since 2012

“Dunakapu Square is my biggest professional challenge. It’s a positive experience that along with archaeologists, everyone wanted to make the project happen. I like the work-life balance at TSPC, it’s not just a ‘workplace’ for me. It’s not work for me, it’s a task where the goal is the fulfillment of the dream.”

Mátyás Szögi
Chief Electrical Engineer

TSPC employee since 2014

“The reason why I like working at TSPC is that I have never had two projects that are the same, there is a good working community, and I am not only surrounded by electrical engineers, so it is a pleasure to see the work of various design professions and to think together with designers from different field. In the field of electrical design, we gradually built up our team starting with two designers in 2016, to three in 2017, and five in 2018. In 2021 the electrical design team became a separate company within TSPC Group, named MET-NET Konzorcium Kft. Our current 12-member design team can cover the full range of building electrical design services: utility power supply, low voltage system, extra low voltage system, and building automation design, so we are able to take on large projects as well. So, I’m most proud of the team that we have built and the work ethic of our team, because it’s always a pleasure to work with a team like that.

Dávid Tornyi
Visualization Specialist

TSPC employee since 2015

“I really like the TSPC community: in addition to professional collaborations, I like sport activities with colleagues such as Ultra Balaton, Ultra Tisza lake runs, and I like that the office is dog-friendly. The biggest professional challenge was the II. János Pál square, because of the “posing” of 3D people and the creation of water simulations. These were exceptioally challenging tasks.”

Janka Anna Lakatos
Structural engineer

TSPC employee since 2016

“When I joined TSPC in 2016, the entire company had a small workforce, and the structural engineering department counted three people with me. Since then, we have become a separate company within TSPC Group and we already have more than ten employees working on many projects. In this way, we can work on much larger projects. A good office atmosphere and direct colleagues make a big contribution to making everyday life pleasant, even when working hard. The company now allows working from home, so adapting to the different needs of different people has been a particularly positive change for me. Since I’ve been working here, I’ve developed more friendships with my immediate colleagues, which fortunately have remained lasting even though some of them no longer work for the company.”

Attila Fekete
Architect

TSPC employee since 2016

“Among the major projects of TSPC, the Millenáris Széllkapu was the most challenging, not only in the design phase but especially in the construction phase. The design and the proper implementation of the unique solutions applied to the project was a major professional challenge. My fondest memory of the park after its completion is the first time I saw children playing on the artificial hill that was part of the concept of our design for the whole park (landscaping that rises up towards the streets). Also, a good memory is when the project won the golden prize at the FIABCI Awards, and we traveled to Paris to attend the award ceremony. That moment and the award ceremony itself was the culmination of almost five years of effort.”

Johanna Csűri
Architect

TSPC employee since 2016

“The strong foundation and reliable background are the main reasons why I like working here, as well as the community, where we can professionally motivate each other. The biggest professional challenge was the University of Physical Education: we considered a lot of aspects, and we worked with many co-designers, manufacturers, and distributors, which made me think in different ways and inspired me a lot. We were able to design new materials, which allowed me to get to know new aspects, and also a great team was assembled. After 6 years of being a part of TSPC,  I am proud that our architectural department has gained more and broader professional experience, and I feel that we can cooperate with each other smoother and quicker than ever before.”

Attila Lakomcsik
Architect

TSPC employee since 2016

“It is always nice to see my work in the real life on the completed buildings: for example, the grasshopper-drawn grid on the Millenáris Széllkapu Park or the restored window on one of the buildings in Városliget. I like working at TSPC because there are many friendly colleagues, the community is welcoming and the work is well organized. Many shared, fond memories and difficulties experienced together made us become a real team.”
