The 25th Hungarian Prix d’Excellence Awards were presented in a festive ceremony in the Ceremonial Hall of the Museum of Ethnography. The new teaching and research building of the Faculty of General Medicine of the University of Pécs, designed by TSPC, was awarded the first place in the category of Educational Buildings.
The new teaching and research building of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Pécs was inaugurated in 2021. In the new block, the university has 12,000 square metres of space for teaching, research and community activities. Thanks to the new building, the teaching and research area of the Faculty of Medicine was expanded by 40%, in building sections equipped with modern diagnostic tools and instruments. In the design of the new building block, the general designer TSPC have presented complex solutions to coordinate the educational areas (seminar rooms, lecture halls, community spaces) and the research areas (laboratories, isolated staircases, sluices and lifts, test and experimental rooms) in a harmonious and architecturally integrated way.
The Paris-based International Real Estate Federation, FIABCI, was founded in 1951. In 1992, the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence international real estate development competition was launched and has grown to become the world’s most prestigious professional competition. FIABCI Hungary first organised the Hungarian Prix d’Excellence Awards in 1997 with the aim of showcasing the first achievements of the then newly emerging real estate development sector to the professional and wider community, rewarding the most successful real estate developments and, last but not least, creating the opportunity to participate in the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence international competition.
